3) What is the horse power of the drilling rig?
4) We can offer your shale shaker, mud cleaner, agitator, centrifugal pump etc. If you are convenient to fabricate the mud tank locally, we can offer the drawing with dimensions. In this case, you may compare the local fabrication cost and the cost bought from us, and the client can choose better one.

GN Solids Control have been working in drilling mud treatment area for many years and can handle different conditions in proper method. And we recommend client buy mud system directly from original manufacturer- GN SOLIDS CONTROL. Pls don’t buy from trading company or any intermediate company, which may lead to lots of trouble during maintenance.

Recently, we have one client who has bought one smaller 200gpm mud system via trading company, but the actual need is 500 to 700gpm mud system, and now he is faced with losing money of the former small mud system. 1) 3 panel longer deck shale shaker with gap screen.
The screen hole is 1mm, much wide then mesh screen. This design can avoid the block in former experience. And also offer much longer lifetime.

2) 3 panel mud cleaner with desander cones and desilter cones.
The desander cones and desilter cones can separate the solids in 2 steps per the diameter. And after this unit, the drilling mud can go to mixing tank for chemical mixing and adjustment for reuse.

The company who provides environmental
protection service may have the business for dredging in rivers or lakes. Many
years’ soil sedimentation down to the water bottom, leaves falling into the
water and then rot, and the trash threw into the water will make the river bed
higher and higher which leading the pollution of the water and even the cutoff
of the river flow. Therefore, we need find a solution to take out the sand,
silt and trash at the bottom of water to make the water clean.

To take the solid stuff out from the water,
we need a solid and liquid separation system to do this job. As a leading
manufacturer of solids control equipment, GN solids control luckily
jointed a project to make the lake water clean inside a residence district.
There is a dredging boat that can take the solid mixed with water from bottom
of the lake, the dirty slurry was sucked out and delivered on to the land with
smelly smell.

The slurry is fed via a steel wire box
where large size solid stuff will be blocked and collected. Then the liquid
will be pumped to GN’s solids control system. In this system, GN designed 3
stages for solids control including shale shaker,
de-sander and de-silter. Both the de-sander and
de-silter are equipped with underflow shaker that could make the discharges
from cyclone much dryer. After treated by the de-silter cyclones, the solid
stuff with size larger than 15-20 microns will be removed. And the rest solid
in the slurry is difficult to remove by using mechanical machinery.

Flocculation is a good method to gather the
ultra fine solids in the slurry. Add the flocculation agent into the slurry as
per certain ratio and then fully mix with mud agitators. The
flocculated slurry will need several times for sedimentation and then will be
pumped to belt filter press for final dewatering process. The solids will be
discharged with a thin cake shape, and the water could be discharged directly
back to later or river.  

The advantage of the filter press is to
make the solids much dryer, and disadvantage is high cost and small treating
capacity. Some other contractor will use decanter centrifuge to do the final
dewatering job on consideration of its larger treating capacity.

We are negotiating our first AD grit removal contract (potential 3000 ton). We will use the unit that is on the way for this.
We are putting a package together for sewage sludge, consisting mainly of rags and grit separation. First process will be the removal of the rags and for this we will have to make adjustment to a single deck shaker by adding spray bars underneath the shaker deck to be able to clean the mesh if it gets blocked. We can do this as a retrofit here but would prefer if it can be designed and constructed in your factory. We will need a buffer tank with pump to feed the spay bars incorporated in the unit ( fresh water fed). Video attached. We are looking at shaker:

We might want to add on to this a desilter unit or small centrifuge. The water for the spray bars can come from fresh water supply and does not have to be recycled as disposal of water is not a problem at sewage treatment plants.
All to be mounted on a tank with appropriate compartments.

It is the combination of a shale shaker
GNZS703E and 8 ea 4’’ desilter cone assembly. The 4’’ desitler cone is made
from PU material for long lifetime.

And the cone assembly is removable. In case
needed, the Operator can bolt off the desilter cone assembly and mounted a
feeder box and use it as a separator shale shaker.

3) Slurry pump 1 ea. In case mud maybe stocked
in mud pit, a slurry pump is used as backup.

3) Mud tank 1 ea. The mud
tank is equipped with container block for easy mounted and clocked on the
trailer.

For the shale shaker, we designed and manufactured a mud distributor for two sets of shale shakers, here we call it dual connection GN shale shaker. So our client has 4 groups Dual Shaker, which has a very large treating capacity, because even one set of GN shale shaker can treating the drilling fluids upto 616 GPM m³/h.
Based on the above solids control equipments, it is obvious to know this is a three phase solids control system that our client wants to use.
1. Shale Shaker
GN shale shaker can separate solids to 100 microns. For this type of GNZS594, the dimension of shaker screens is 585mm X 1165mm, so the screens are replaceable with Swaco Mongoose screens.
2. Vacuum Degasser
The mud come from shaker will be sent to vacuum degasser to eliminate the air in drilling fluids. By using GN vacuum degasser, the drilling mud can be kept in a steady viscosity.
3. Desander and Desilter
GN desander and desiler can separate solids to 20 microns. The cylones on desander and desilter are all made of PU, which is really helpful to have a long time lifespan.
