GN Vacuum Pump are Welcomed in Qatar Tank Cleaning Projects

Vacuum pumps are effective equipment for pumping mud, sand, or solids.  GN Solids Control has made and supplied Vacuum pumps for many years, and they are welcomed in Qatar oil tank cleaning projects.

Sludge vacuum pumps work by creating a vacuum in the pump chamber. This vacuum draws the sludge into the chamber, where it is then pumped to the desired location.

Sludge vacuum pumps can be either positive displacement pumps or centrifugal pumps. Positive displacement pumps work by moving a fixed volume of sludge through the pump chamber. This type of pump is typically used for sludge with a high solids content. Usually, sludge vacuum pumps are typically used in waste fluids treatment plants, mining operations, and other industries where sludge needs to be transferred.  Contracting with a centrifugal pump, the centrifugal pumps work by rotating an impeller, which creates a centrifugal force that draws the sludge into the pump chamber. However, centrifugal pumps can’t transfer high-velocity mud or solids, or the material will destroy the impellers. Centrifugal pump is typically used for sludge with a lower solids content or water. The main vacuum pumps welcomed in Qatar are the 20B and 40B pumps, which means the 20B can pump 20m3/h and 40B can 40m3/h.

However, sludge vacuum pumps can be noisy and they can have a relatively high power consumption because it must be connected to a pneumatic device to provide an air supply. But it doesn’t need a motor and there is no rotary spares inner the pumps. It is easy for maintenance.
